Feelin' Crafty

So last night I bought calligraphy pens, cardstock, envelopes, St. Patrick's Day embellishments and thought I'd get crafty and make St. Patrick's Day cards to send to our close friends and family. I spent a few hours last night working on my calligraphy a bit and today I wrote the cards, added the embellishments and took some photos of Chayce.

Y'know taking photos of a 3 year old is quite complicated, because on Holiday cards you definitely want a photo of them smiling. A "posed" photo for the most part. So out of like 50 shots I managed to get 2 AMAZING ones. You can see the 2 I already edited and uploaded on his website (The link is on the right column of my blog) ----->

I'm about to print out the photos and all that fun stuff and hopefully finish them today. I won't mail them til next week I think.

Oh yes! I got a call from the Optometrist's office today and MY GLASSES ARE IN! So, I'm going to pick them up in about a half hour. I'll try and snap some shots of me in my glasses. Or, if I'm lookin' rough I'll just snap a shot of the glasses. LOL!

Calligraphy

So when I was about 12 my mom bought me a calligraphy kit. It had workbooks, instructional books, pens, paper, etc etc. and I, for a few years, mastered the art of Calligraphy quite well!
I've been itching to pick it back up again, and today a friend brought over a Calligraphy book of hers for me to start practicing again. Finally, a new hobby!

Follow-Up from the Decal Issue...

So yesterday afternoon I realized I'd had a missed call/voicemail. It was the company I was talking about yesterday with the jacked up decals! They apologized profusely and told us to please come back.

Jon took the SUV to them this morning, and they did some serious ass-kissing (or so Jon said). Ontop of all that, they ended up firing the guy who didn't apply the decal properly and let me LEAVE without getting it taken care of or bringing a supervisor into the situation. I felt bad when Jon said that, BUT this kid was apparantly already on his last leg at that place; he's had many complaints and is a damper on the company.

Anywhoo, they DID get our decals on! I will take a picture and post it later.

My "Poodle-Poodles"

Photo of Reese taken today. She's 17.5 weeks old.
She weighs 5 lb. 7 oz.
And Sunday she had her very 1st trip to the groomer!!!

I call her my "Poodle-Poodles" in my highest pitch most obnoxious voice ever and she goes crazy. I just love her to Reese's Pieces! :)

The groomer gave her a little milkbone treat the other day and she inhaled it, so I bought some more last night for her. They're her new favorite thing.

It's the little things in life...

...that can either make it or break it!

Point and case: Yesterday I went to a local place to get those cute little stick figure family decals for the back of my car. Like these...

Well, I *assumed* they had them and I'd just buy them seperately. Yada yada yada, well instead they custom make them for you. Kinda nice (just hope you don't add any family members/pets or you have to pay for the whole new set!!!). It cost me $21.00 to get the Daddy, Mommy, boy and puppy. Well the guy made me pay and tell me they'd be done in a few hours. I left, came back, and he told me how to apply it.

I made sure to do it IN THEIR PARKING LOT to make sure I was doing it right. No luck. The little people wouldn't stick. So I went inside, a bit irritated, and asked the guy to come help me. Even HE couldn't get them to stick. So he's like, "Umm... well, maybe it's too cold. Leave them on a few hours so the sunlight can hit them, and when you get home apply some heat to them and re-try".

Sure.

Left them on until the sun went down, backed the SUV into my garage and (like he instructed) plugged in my hair dryer and applied heat to them.

Still didn't work. And to make it worse, the Daddy sticker started falling APART! Yeah, so by this point I'm pissed. Called back to find out they're closed. It's little things like this that just SERIOUSLY annoy me to no end. I told Jon he can go get this taken care of, I'm beyond frustrated about it. That guy shouldn't have let me LEAVE until the decal was on my car properly. He saw that it wasn't sticking for whatever reason. ARGH! So my cute little idea for the car turned into 2 hours of frustration! $21.00 down the drain; awaiting my refund.

ONTOP of all this, I had my groceries in the car the whole time we were at that place, then came home and Reese had pooped in her crate [1st time EVER!]. Just definitely wasn't my night!

We bought our SUV!!!

What an answered prayer and such a blessing! We called a car dealership we've been talking to the past few months in preparation to purchase our SUV. They never had the Saturn Vue available on any of their 7 lots. (It's the ONE SUV jon and I both agreed on and LOVED)Yesterday we decided no matter what it was TIME to buy an SUV. Especially with Jon's transfer being effective as soon as THIS week.

Would you believe they'd JUST got a Saturn Vue in the day prior and last night we went and bought it!

So, without further adieu, our 2005 Saturn Vue!!!
