I love days like this...

Yesterday we spent the whole day at the beach.
Then came back, took a dip in the pool, ate some ice cream and watched Ratatouille.
Much needed family day! *and my tan looks freaking amazing*

Oh, I saw my first Jellyfish yesterday. Actually, we saw HUNDREDS of them! When we got to the beach I noticed clear little geletanous globs all over the beach, so I didn't let Chayce go near them. I did some quick research on jellyfish on my Blackberry, and found them listed as "Moon Jellyfish". Their sting is only enough to harm their food (as small as plankton!), so it's so mild we, as humans, can't even feel it. Either way, they were all dead. Not sure why or how they died, but they were all dead. Some washed up whole. Some in just pieces. But it was quite a site for sure!

Ignore that Other Post...

THIS is what I want for Mother's Day. If I don't get it, I'll buy it for myself. This is all I want. I've wanted one for SO long and I just spotted one yesterday for $69.99. Sorry, but it's dumb to pass it up.

A TIKI BAR!!!!!!!!!!!!
And it would be PERFECT just in time for our Luau on the 17th.
I already have barstools to match it. I've wanted a Tiki Bar for
my back patio for soooo long but all the ones I saw were $1k or more.
This little one is simple and perfect!

My Mother's Day List

What I want for Mother's Day 2009...

1. An Orchid...or 2.

2. Some new flip flops
(to match the new lace camis I bought at Aero this week!)

3. A new bellybutton ring.
I've had the same ones since Christmas.
I love being simplistic. My hubby loves it too.

He Overcame his Fear....

.....of "the deep end" today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes. I'm one freakin' PROUD mama!

Way to go, Chayce!

It's a Luau!

We volunteered last night to host our church's next "home group" at our place. Twice a month a group of 15-20 of us gather on Sunday evenings for dinner and fellowship. It's always fun, and we always have a "theme" to follow. Yesterday our theme was "Cinco de Mayo".

Jon and I decided to host a Luau!

Here's the invitations/announcements I drew up this morning.

I'm making a Grilled Peach Salad w/ Vinegarette
and Cheese Tortellini with Grapes and Bananas.
It's a popular dish at "Island Pasta" in Downtown, Melbourne. It sounds *weird* but it's fabulous, and I can't wait to make it! And this totally gives me a reason to buy those Chinese paper lanterns I've been itching to get. LOL!

Still on a movie escapade.

All we've done lately is watch movies. Which is fun, because we were so outta the loop for the longest time! This weekend I watched these 2 movies.

Bride Wars

Bride Wars SUCKED. It was horrible. There was no moral to the story, nothing funny about it, it was very lame. And they made such a hype about it when it came into theatres. I totally wish I could get that hour and a half of my life back.

Observe & Report

Last night we went to see Observe & Report (Starring: Seth Rogen).
HYSTERICAL!
If you have a dark, vulgar sense of humor of course. But you should expect that if you like Seth Rogen flicks. It definitely kept us laughing.
